i hope the habs won't draft another russian player.

1. Perezhogin went back to Russia
2. Sergei Kostisysn still haven't signed with the habs and if he doesn't sign before june 1st he'll be eligible again this year and the habs will lose him
3. Yemelin was drafted in 2003 i think and he's still in Russia

Exactly, with a board like that, give me Zach Hamill without thinking twice.

I don't mind Backlund as the ninth-overall pick, but I think the Blues would take Couture or Eller before Backlund in that spot.

I can just about guarantee the Blues wouldn't take Dana Tyrell ahead of Oscar Moller, nor would they take Alex Plante ahead of Joakim Andersson.

Where's Brett MacLean?

I don't see Washington spending a first-round pick on a goalie when they already have Daigneault, Varlamov, Neuvirth, and Mrazek in the system.

For Washington, I was debating between Smith, Sweatt and MacLean, so that can really go either way...

I also screwed the title...I forgot I changed my name to Willie for Captain...haha....no Willie for PRez!

WUPS!

thanks for the comments

Very nice work. Although I only disagree with the Columbus pick. They've had their hands full with one Russian in Zherdev, dont think they'll want to add another one with Cherepanov. I think they can very much go for someone like a Couture or even an Esposito.

Was just gonna type this and saw your post.

I see zero chance that Columbus drafts another Russian in Cherepanov. If they are looking for a boom/bust pick they'll go with Esposito...if they want to play it as safe as possible Couture or maybe Ellerby will be their guy.....or they may even trade down.
