I hate these "on pace" non-stat stats. Until a guy shows me he can do that for a full season you should sit back down and shut it. Also checks username, yeah checks out.

Yeah we suck but we're in the play-in just like your God's gift to forwards team.

*raises hand* I'm sorry.

Just an FYI a lot of teams in the NHL have internal caps as well.

That's also why you should never trade for a Tampa Bay Lightning forward.

Oh no he only scored 30+ goals in a shortened season? He'd only be the top goalscorer on more than half the teams in the league this year, embarassing.

That’s the problem. Toronto is too cap heavy on forwards. They need to trade F for D

General rule is around 57% of cap for forwards. Rest for D/G. You can exceed thst short term like 1-2 yrs because players on ELC or cheap deals.
Where did this general rule come from for forwards? 57 percent. Just curious.

13 forwards / 23 man roster = 57%. Not like I agree with that but I think that's where it comes from. Leafs are what? 65%?

Once the cap grows, I have no doubt the Leafs will spend the space on the back end so it will balance out more but will take time after Covid19 flattened the cap
