For those who saw him play on a regular basis.

To me it seems Lindholm has never really clicked well with anyone. He is a great all around player but he isn't an offensive driver. He consistently shows pockets and stretches of really high-level play but he can't seem to keep it going on a regular basis.
My hope is that putting him next to someone who is a true offensive catalyst, say Sebastian Aho, will push Lindholm to that next level. Aho + Lindholm + x as a third line that exploits offensive situations could be really fun to watch.
I think we honestly may have one of the more exciting third lines in the league next year
I think you are under-estimating this team. We'll probably have 3 of the most exciting third lines in the league next year.
discuss!

“Lindholm was one of just a handful of bright spots on a mediocre Canes team this year. He took a major step forward in ice time, averaging a career-high 18:07 per game, and cemented himself as a top-six player for the Hurricanes.”
He just really had an awful start last year which killed his season-long outlook. As long as he shows up in the Fall, trained and ready to go, I would expect around 50 points. If some skilled wings like Aho and a F/A can be added to the lineup and Lindholm moves to center, I think that will only increase the likeliness of his productivity getting back on track. He looked much better in the middle. I've always thought that's where he should be because he's not a burner with an elite shot, and he's no Kane/Gaudreau with crazy puck skills. He's patient and cerebral with good vision/playmaking and that needs to be utilized at center.
we should kill him tbh
Yeah, that shouldn't be overlooked. Considering he had, I believe 2 point in his first 20 games of the season, look at his 37 points in 62 games after that. If he had scored at that relative clip all season he'd be up there with Rask and Staal around the 50-point mark and we'd probably be looking at him a bit differently.
And I mean, he's still just 21. Eric Staal at 21 scored 11 goals and 31 points on a team with similar offensive issues. With Lindholm the jump could be that sudden. Hope so.
