Minnesota bolstered their blueline and brought back an old face at forward in 2 separate deals.

First, they dealt Robert Nilsson to Phily in return for Marco Sturm. Sturm was a Wild winger when they reached the conference finals a few years ago.

Then they dealt pending UFA Nik Antropov and a 4th rounder to Vancouver in exchange for Andrej Meszaros.

"Picking up a 23 year old like Andrej is huge, really, for us. He's a guy we want to see back there for a decade or so. Lots of potential there. We thought we'd be seeing Alzner, Weber and Joslin as fulltimers by now, but they're not quite ready it seems," said GM Greg Dockus.

"Losing Nik will hurt, but Marco is more than capable of picking up the slack. Nice to have him back. We know Nilsson has a high skill set, but we think a change of scenery would do him good."
