Hey it looks like the experiment isn't working. Let's not forget Crosby made Dupuis work and Dupuis was a healthy scratch before Sid made him. But the fans only disagree with coaching moves when it doesn't work.

Let's also not forget that Dupuis' limitations were exposed in the playoffs again and again but Bylsma was too stubborn to change things. Also, Sid is 33, he can't be expected to keep turning players of Dupuis or Sheary's calibre into 20+ goal scorers, it's time we recongnise that. Same with Malkin playing with the likes of grandpa Marleau. We need lines that maximise our forwards' strengths, and past experience has shown that Guentzel works just as well with Malkin as he does with Crosby, while (albeit in a smaller sample size) Zucker works much better with Crosby. If we blindly followed the logic of "best winger must play with best center!!11!", we never would have had the HBK line, or Malkin and Neal's chemistry once Crosby returned from an injury. I would like to think coaches are more flexible than that. If it doesn't work... we switch back. You would think that people are suggesting a lifetime contract for Jake away from Sid or something...
