We have a very close race right now.

I'm going to exclude the top 2 teams in each division as they seem to have a pretty huge lead at the top. Boston at 97 points, FLA at 94, NYR at 94, CAR at 92. So assuming those 4 make it...we have 4 spots left. #3 in each divison, and 2 wildcard spots:

Toronto - 85 points. On pace for 104. 15 games to go
Tampa - 80 points. On pace for 96. 14 games to go
Philly - 78 points. On pace for 93. 13 games to go
Detroit - 76 points. On pace for 90 points. 13 games to go
Washington - 75 points. On pace for 92 points. 15 games to go
NYI - 73 points. On pace for 88 points. 14 games to go
Buffalo - 71 points. On pace for 83 points. 12 games to go
NJ - 70 points. On pace for 83 points. 13 games to go
Pittsburgh - 69 points. On pace for 83 points, 14 games to go.

I almost left Toronto off also since they seem quite safe, but I figure they're also a little ways behind the top 4 teams who all have over 92 points, so I added them here. But in my opinion, it's probably only a race for the final 3 spots.

Vote for the 4 teams who make the playoffs.

Would be pretty shocked if Toronto misses it now. They're 12 points up on 9th place with 10 games to go. They need 7 points in their next 10 to clinch and that's assuming all the teams below them get 100% of their possible points to push them down 3 spots. Realistically, they probably need around 4 points in their next 10 to clinch.

Tampa is 4 points back of Toronto, likely going .500 clinches for them so I assume they're safe.

Philadelphia has been holding onto Metro 3 all season, so I'll bet on them holding on for another 10 games - whether Metro 3 or WC2.

Washington has been on a heater lately, so I'll give them the final spot.

Toronto and Tampa Bay are no brainers IMO. It's really down to the last two. I'm taking Washington and Detroit, with the Caps bouning the Flyers. It's a real dogfight of teams playing crap hockey lately for that last WC. Anything can happen.

Pittsburgh and Buffalo are too far gone to make it at this point.

The Devils and Islanders are too inconsistent to make any headway
