Remember to vote based on all factors and not just NHL readiness. Overall skillset, hockey IQ, upside (potential vs floor), stats, skating ability, array of shots, leadership qualities, size/strenght, age, etc

I always ask myself who would I draft BPA among these players?

Try to do some research on these kids, particularly the most recent ones. People are free to post links and videos about some of the prospects that should be voted soon, or even try to persuade others why a guy should be voted next! Spread info to help people vote.

As we have been doing since 2004, we are going to use the HF criterias for prospect eligibility (less than 65 NHL games and under 25 y/o)

NHL Prospect Criteria - Hockey's Future

However, this year there will be 2 exceptions to avoid never-ending debates. Like SensBrawler said "It's a weird situation due to the shortened season. In most years, they would have easily graduated."

So Tim Stutzle (53 GP) and Josh Norris (59 GP) are going to be considered graduated. The panel of Sens prospect polls experts think that the majority of people would still consider Brannstrom as a prospect, even though he has more games than them (63 GP), so he's going to be among options.

Kastelic, like Kelly, should not have gone this high.

4th liners at best, even if they are closer to reaching that potential than other players still on the board.

Johansson and Lodin should be above them on the list. Higher upside with both IMO.

Higher upside for what exactly? To be NHL superstars? Or to be complimentary top 9 scoring wingers. I find what kastelic brings as a big, physical, shut down centre to be more valuable to an NHL team than what either Lodin or Johansson will be able to offer, assuming they can reach their ceilings.

I both agree and disagree with both of you.

1. These polls are just for fun

2. The result can and most likely will change the next time we do them and we have had more time to watch these prospects.

If it's not about who is closest to making the NHL, than it's a popularity contest. It also makes more sense given who is left.

Johansson is only 18 y/o so I agree but Lodin is already 22 and doesn't have a great resume

How in the **** is Mandolese still here? Just silly.

Who should he be voted above? I personally don't see many, maybe Abramov but that's only because he decided to go overseas

The Juice for me. Had him basically tied with Daoust.

Why does Kevin Mandolese get no love?

Didn't play much last year, struggled when he did, and very few of us (myself included) know squat about evaluating goaltenders.

The only evaluations I have on Mandolese:
- He was way better than his teammates in the Q
- He was way worse than his teammates in the A

I also think the fact that he's #5 on our depth chart is an issue, if not in reality than at least as a perception.

I would vote Mandolese over 3-5 guys picked above him, but I see why others wouldnt. Boils down, I suspect, to goalies being voodoo.
