In my opinion,

Bolts (although we’ll see what becomes of them post Yzerman), Avs, and the Preds.

Those are the first three that come to mind, but I might be missing one,

Boston is probably up there as well.

Not sure why people are picking the Avs. The FO have ways to go to be ranked among the best. Their biggest achievement now is based on the assets they inherited from PL and his cronies. Out of their 4 best players only one was drafted with Sakic as GM.

Obviously Tampa. I've been really impressed with the Rangers rebuild - apparently that is the top destination for every American between 18-25. Lucky bastards.

I went with homer vote Bruins but could see Avs, Nashville or San Jose as a good option as well.

I picked Boston. Can't think of a single bar contract, were able to rebuild on the fly and still have quite the really good team.

Avs were the other based on how well MacKinnon and that line get paid.

Tampa, San Jose, Washington.

They’re always good. And have made a lot of good moves.

People are giving too much credit to the management in destination cities like Tampa and New York. It's a heck of a lot easier when players want to play for you. Also those two cities in particular have rookie GMs, it might be better to wait on the coronation. I remember a year ago Dubas was getting voted as a top GM.

As of now, Winnipeg has 3 votes and I think that's ridiculously low. This is the team that has been at the top of the do not trade lists for years, and yet nonetheless they've built a real powerhouse. I get that they had issues last year, but they should nonetheless be cup contenders year in and year out now. That's impressive.

Columbus to a lesser extent is a team that has had a hell of a time attracting talent. And they're 4th in the league in wins over the last 3 years.

I can’t limit it to three but these are the franchises that stand out to me.

Long term sustained success:

Tampa Bay
San Jose
Winnipeg
St. Louis
Washington
Boston
Nashville
Vegas
Chicago
Pittsburgh

Columbus (in between the two categories)

Teams trending up:

New York Rangers
Colorado
New York Islanders
Toronto

Edit: Forgot to add St. Louis.

It starts with ownership. Who ever has quality ownership will have a good organization. I'm not thrilled with our ownership, so that leaves us out. It's a number of teams with seemingly good ownership though.

Sharks have excellent ownership and Doug Wilson has missed the playoffs once as GM. Lightning and Bruins are the other good choices. Avs are good but also have had the help of alot of early picks lately.
