Nashville was by far the most physical team in the regular season so that alone should tip the scales on that series being the most physical.

Leafs were involved in the top 3 games with the most hits this season. I think it is going to be a violent series Leafs vs Bruins. Leafs will try and set the tone early physically and Boston will answer.

Lightning -vs- whoever during 1st round seems to be one of most physical/intense series lately. Wouldn't shock me if that's the case this year. Especially considering Lightning and Florida have plenty of animosity towards one another without playoffs involved. Should be good series between two legit teams.

Honestly, probably Tampa vs Florida.

I don't think Toronto and Boston will have that much going on. Toronto have to focus on scoring goals if they want to break their curse against the Bruins.

LAK, COL, DAL, CAR, BOS, TBL, FLA all 0.

My clear choice was Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks for this. 383 hits for Lauzon? Over 100 clear of anyone else. And J.T. Miller for example also hits a ton even if he doesn't make this list.

Dallas and Vegas will get ugly. You got two behemoths going at it both willing to do anything for the cup.

How are you defining physicality? They were 5th in hits.
Right, Nashville was 5th, Vancouver was 4th in hits per game. Vancouver's defense is going to step up to another level of nastiness come playoffs... There's some big strong, physical men with a nasty streak on that blue line. While I think there's some bad blood between Dallas and Vegas, Dallas just doesn't lay the body like most other playoff teams. Their hit rate is about 65% of the Toronto, Boston, Florida, Vancouver, and Nashvilles.

In no order:

Toronto Boston
Vancouver Nashville
Florida Tampa

For sure, I was asking how he defined it because he said most physical 'by far' and they weren't 1st in hits. You're right, Nashville/Van will be a good one as well.

Vegas has a big team, so I can see them really ratcheting up the physicality in the playoffs.

Hertl was pretty shocked at the size of the Vegas team once he landed. He was one of the biggest players on the Sharks and said he felt small when met his new team.
