I'd be down to see Vegas finally win a Cup.

They've gone:

Lost in SCF
Lost in 1st Round (but due to the controversial 5 min PP where the Sharks scored 4 goals in the 3rd period).
Lost in WCF
Lost in WCF
Missed playoffs
Currently in WCF

They're always a contender and it might just be their year.

As for their opponent, let's go with Florida. They haven't been to the finals in a long, long time.

Florida or Vegas, first time cup for either team. We would see ktachuk or eichel, 2 American stars , gaurenteed one to lift the cup!

As I mentioned in another thread, I'd like to see Pavelski vs. Burns in the Cup finals, since I'm a Sharks fan. Failing that, I think the Panthers are a likeable team.

Florida vs Dallas. Florida is easily more interesting than Carolina at this point, and Pavelski getting a cup is more interesting than the Knights.

Would like to see Carolina or the Panthers rep the East and either Dallas/LVGK from the west works for me

I would like this year to be the year Florida ascends from the sad club.

Carolina/Vegas, but I'm honestly fine with any matchup. I'll be rooting for either team coming out of the East, but I won't be remotely upset if Dallas or Vegas win.

Vegas vs Florida

Cause the ratings would tank, I have a soft spot for Vegas, the Leafs aren't in it, Matthew Tkachuk...Brady sees the shiny cup and big ass ring and gets a little extra fire to fuel the sibling rivalry

I'd be surprised if it wasn't Cats-Vegas. And it might be the toughest SCF to predict in a long time.

Vegas will have home ice. They have bigger D and pundits would say better.

Forwards I give the edge to Panthers. Barkov is better than any forward on Vegas imo. Tkachuk is in the CS race. Vegas have Eichel and Stone. But they aren't as good as the other guys mentioned.

Goaltending isn't close.

Vegas did beat a great offensive team in Edmonton. But they won't have the luxury going up against a bad goalie. Florida would be up against the biggest and most physical team thus far. Can they overcome that and get pucks on net consistently?

If Florida/Vegas then one of the former Sabre's 2OA is guaranteed to win the cup which I think would be kind of funny.

Also the only teams we haven't been screwed in a series against for one reason or another.
