Kings look like they can win the cup this year...with a legit goalie.

The Korpisalo experiment didn't work, but I can see them pushing chips in to acquire a goalie again.

1) Vejmelka I believe was the other goalie they were looking at last deadline.

2) Hellebuyck rumored to want out of Winnipeg

3) Demko is another goalie that was rumored not to be re-signing in Vancouver.

Any others? Or will LA run with Talbot and Copley?

1) Vejmelka, I believe was the other goalie they were looking at last deadline. I think he makes sense for Kings.

2) Hellebuyck rumored to want out of Winnipeg. He wants too much money and his age is wrong for LA. Big no here.

3) Demko is another goalie that was rumored not to be re-signing in Vancouver. He has very serious health questions (hips) to trade for him. No here as well.

P.S. Kings needs to resolve salary cap issues before even thinking about trading for goalie.

lol what?????

Depends on how Seattle plays, the Kings will be bumped down to the wild card spots.
Anyone who seriously considers a cup run needs a head shake, beside that, we don't have any chips anymore to chip in

Kings will need to shed a mid-salary winger to make a trade for a goalie, and I honestly don’t think Blake has the stones to do that.

I gotta think the Kings ride the most mediocre tandem ever, straight into the ground.

Honorable mention to the kings throwing a Hail Mary, and praying that Portillo somehow becomes an NHL goaltender before the deadline.

If they want to go for the cream of the crop, it's no doubt Hellebuyck. If they want to cut corners, it's Jack Campbell.

Probably just run what they have & re-evaluate at the deadline

Edit: Better goaltending than they started last season with.

I agree with the premise, but I go with none of the above. Outside of Helle, whom I don't think the Kings can afford outside of one year, the other two simply don't want out to my al be it limited knowledge, their teams have no reason to trade them for peanuts and the Kings don't exactly have surplus assets to overpay for them.

Demko has three years left on a five year deal he signed after his elc. Do you usually begin the will he or won't he stuff a full two years early?

Such the base camp question for the Kings season and future.

A very tough one, could be anyone this year.

Top 4 goalies are signed only for this season, so obviously potential lame duck gm Blake does not have what he wants

Most smoke around Saros, Pred poisters told me he is a no go, there was no fire.

I don't think, and sure as hell hope Blake in no way covets Helle.

2024 NHL Free Agents Tracker

Blake will see if any of Talbot, Copley or even Riitch can excel.

If not, Could be any UFA on this list from there down and no one jumps out in front of Copley or even Talbot really.

Other guys on established teams like Broissoit and Samasanov are in no mans land because they are likely to be retained if the outperform.

Get a load of the 25 expires, its thick.

This is the likely spot for GM's to pay big for their guy.

Crucially for Blake he will be in the last year of his contract, if not extended before that.

For now all eyes are on McLlelan in his termination year, floating freely with the end of the tether in sight.

Would Carter Hart from Philly be of interest
After gibson starts off hot the kings gunna come get him
Injury risk for Blake
Creating a monster risk for Verbeek
I don't see it...

Always good to get some fresh takes from outside eyeballs.

I don't know if a team would take him, but Arvidsson is expiring.
