I'm a defenseman in the AMHL (as in 6:30 AM, every Thursday, year 'round) at Valley Sports in Concord, MA (same rink Hal Gill played in as a kid). At that early hour, we're not into beer; we get excited about donuts. Only Dunkin' Donuts--unless I'm returning from a trip to Buffalo or Toronto and can deliver day-old donuts from Timmy's.

I play in a weekly roller hockey pickup game. We usually play 3 games to 5 goals. In my best game ever I had 2g, 2a and 2 blocked shots. Usually I score about 1g, 2-3a per night (over the course of 3 games).

I'm not good, but I have a ton of fun. And I'm in much better shape than I used to be.
