UNWANTED SPECIAL BOBBY HOLIK INSIGHT REPORT:

Mid-tier franchise forward. You should put him on ice as soon as he's fresh again. Relentless sensory overload multitasking nightmare on skate for defenseman, to a point you can see them not able to compute fast enough, lacking RAM and start lagging. The plan to build the team around him is going on point, i would say ahead of plan if he was chasing Caufield (around 21) for total goal as we talk (74 games). Need to understand that goaltenders are just another hardware lacking defensemen with bigger padding. If he can avoid injury in Nick Suzuki manner (ain't easy) he will achieve 3digit point season on a prime years. He will cost what Carey Price cost unless he's vibing toward giving Montreal a sweet bargain deal to pay up for skilled teammate or stupid GM mistake ala Martin Brodeur/Sidney Crosby. Gonna get his assistant letter on his jersey sooner than later.

p.s.: if you want Bobby Holik at 8 millions i ain't doing it i know a team offering me 9 you need to up stake your game.

The Leafs would love to have Guhle on their team right now.
im sure many teams including the leafs would love to have him too.
but guess what. Im sure there are players on other teams thats the Habs would love to have right now too so I dunno what ur point is.
are you trying to say they made a mistake drafting Amirov and should have taken Guhle?

They also passed on Mercer and could have had Jarvis if they were smart.

Hoping for a barely turned 20 year olds’ career to be derailed. You sound like a pleasant person.

Crazy how like every highly drafted defensemen that starts in the NHL as a teenager always needs a couple years before they stand out.

Almost like it's a pattern.

Drew Doughty? Was sort of on Team Canada in an important role by year two.

Huh? The season that Yakupov started as a 19 year old (D+2) he had 24 pts in 63 games, on pace for 31 pts (and on pace for plus minus of -35)

Fans are bi-polar.

Another perspective from watching these boards:

From October 2022 to November 13 2023
12 points in 54 games = pace of 18 points per 82 games
"Might be the worst number one pick ever"

From November 14 2023 to January 15 2024
13 points in 27 games = pace of 40 points per 82 games
"He's a project, have patience"

From January 16 2024 to April 4 2024
29 points in 33 games = pace of 72 points per 82 games
"That was enough patience. Must decide right now if he will be Rantanen 2.0 or Jagr 2.0"

He turned 19 in October of his Rookie year because he's an early birthday. Never played in the nhl as an 18 year old.

Look the mistake is not because he passed away. That's no ones fault obviously. However, Guhle, Jarvis and Mercer were ranked ahead of him in scouting reports.

Yes I am also aware that every team in the league has made draft mistakes. This is just pointing out this one by The Leafs
