Texas winning their first World Series ended a drought they had going back to their first season (as the 2.0 edition of the Washington Senators) in 1961. We've seen a few big droughts ended in recent years, so which of the teams with the 10 longest droughts will see theirs ended next?

1. Cleveland (1948)
T-2. San Diego (started in 1969)
T-2. Milwaukee (started in 1969)
4. Seattle (started in 1977)
5. Pittsburgh (1979)
6. Baltimore (1983)
7. Detroit (1984)
8. NY Mets (1986)
9. Oakland (1989)
10. Cincinnati (1990)

Baltimore is trending that way. But I'm sure their owner is going to stand in the way of that.

I'd probably say Seattle is the closest based on the stability of their franchise. Feels like they can sustain decent success and a long enough window to get it done. SD has the horses but it's such a chaotic franchise. Mets are in trouble because they are a high paid dumpster fire that can only get out of this by spending more and hoping it all works. Sort of like SD.

I think Cincy has a really good collection of young players but I don't have faith in that franchise to get it done. Same with Baltimore. Great talent and potential but not a franchise to bet on.
