Pretty similarly impressive I suppose but I’d lean 70 goals.
100 primaries would be a baffling feat of distributing genius. Now if it was 100 primary assists….
Good summary. Imagine if say, Pastrnak or Kucherov had Matthews' goal total right now. It would be completely different talk70 goals. Unless a leaf does it (I’m betting against it) which would make it somehow less impressive than tying your skates.
Gretzky did an insane 112 in 1986Generally “goals” trumps “assists” but people not named Wayne Gretzky have only gotten 100 assists in 2 seasons. People not named Wayne Gretzky have way more 70 goal seasons.
100 primaries would be a baffling feat of distributing genius.
His assists record is easily more impressive are you joking? He could have scored 0 goals and still would be the all time points leader lolGoals are more impressive. Just like Gretzky's goals record(894 who OV is about to beat) is more impressive than his assists record(1961)
Talk about insecure.70 goals. Unless a leaf does it (I’m betting against it) which would make it somehow less impressive than tying your skates.
Same.
100 assists is rarer (only Gretzky, Orr and Lemieux did it), but doesn't necessarily mean more impressive.
About the same, but I voted 70 goals.
Oates peaked at 97 assists for the Bruins in 92-93, very close but didn't make it over the hump. Still a very impressive career for an undrafted player. One of my favorite Bruins of that era.100+ assist club is Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr and... I believe Oates.
There are more players who have scored 70+ goals in the history of the sport. Gretzky, Hull, Selanne, Mogilny, Kurri, and Lemieux have all scored 70 or more goals.
100+ assists is technically more impressive from a historical perspective.
Not anywhere close to as flawed as your crazy example is. But sure if a 12 year old girl made it into the NHL and scored 70 goals or 100 assists I would be blown the **** away.Being more impressive doesn't necesarily mean better...
Usain Bolt running the 100m in 9.58 is better than a 12yr old girl running it in 9.59, but it's clearly more impressive for a 12yr old to do.
Flawed question IMO.
