I'm hoping Summit will at least make a seasonal out of this:
Favorite (overall) breweries?
Surly
Bells
They have some good beers but plenty are overrated. This is probably going to sound bad as a Minnesotan, but I'm not a huge fan of Summit...
Now go ahead and blast me. Got to get some sleep so I'll read in the morning.
Surly is my homeboy. Bells is good, Goose Island is amazing but also a big Yuengling fan. Wish I could get it here.Grant Teton Brewing has a bunch of really great beer...Pick up a sampler--you won't be disappointed.

Summit (back in my good graces with Red Horizon and the Unchained series)
more or less Macro brewed I really like some of Sam Adams offerings.
Surly for sure. Also like Great Lakes, Sierra Nevada, 3 Floyds, Stone, and Deschutes.
You don't find Russian River here, but I think they'd be my favorite if they were available.

Bells Hopslam is a beer which thinks it is a wine - 138 IBU and double-digit ABV%.
barley wine?
It's a double IPA. It is so hoppy that you can't even tell it is a 10+ abv beer. Very tasty.
