What should the name be?

As much as I hated Black Knights at the beginning of this, it has grown on me somewhat. I picked Knights in the poll because I see using the word black as unnecessary, and makes the name longer than it needs to be. Plus the Ontario Reign already have a black knight as their mascot, and even though it is the AHL, not sure anyone wants anything so similar. I like Aces, not sure the league will like the gaming reference, even if we do have the Air Force here which could be the reference as well. Personally, don't really care what they call them, at least we'll have a team. They instantly jump to my 2nd favorite team, Sharks will stay #1 for me.

Considering the Aces is winning you a definitely not in the minority. Aces sounds by far the best in my opinion and actually makes sense considering that the team belongs to Las Vegas.

Just drop off the Las part cause game 1 of the Vegas Knights sounds better.
Plus i heard NHL does not want anything related to gambling so that takes out some names.
Also be a name that no other team in other leagues have.
Examples:

The Sacramento Kings (NBA) and the Los Angeles Kings (NHL)

The Carolina Panthers (NFL) and the Florida Panthers (NHL)

The Texas Rangers (MLB) and the New York Rangers (NHL)

New York Jets (NFL) and Winnipeg Jets (NHL)

Seriously though, I think Knights is the coolest. Black Knights is too long and reminds me of the Black Hawks and the Aces seems too casino related.

Whenever I talk to some female friends that don't have much knowledge in sports, they laugh at team names of sports teams that aren't initimdating animals/mamals/forces of nature... they laugh at names like Colts, Cardinals, blue Jays etc etc but think sports names should be scarier names like Panthers, Sharks, Lightning, Hurricanes etc etc.... sports fanatics love the old/mean something historic names, but a lot of other new age people prefer intimidating type names.... its a new age and I say they come up with something cool and fun.... Aces, Knights IMO are friggin boring names that shows they didn't put much thought into it and took the safe route... have fun with it!!!.. its the entertainment capital.. entertain us!!!
