At best, Middlestadt is worth a 2nd rounder at this point. More likely, he'd go for less than what Andersson brought in.

I feel pretty confident in saying that Andersson will be at least a bottom 6 player in the NHL. The same can't be said for Middlestadt - he's a boom or bust player, and he's trending dangerously close to bust category.

This reads like you haven't watched Mitts at all this season. His physical development is finally catching up to his talent level this year, and it shows. Buffalo isn't giving him away.

That's fair, and I never said Buffalo would give him away, but he's not worth much to the rest of the league. Every other team has a struggling young player that is on the verge of finally putting it together, they aren't going to value Middlestadt highly. If i'm being frank, I also don't have much faith in Buffalo developing young players at the moment, especially not in that type of environment. I'd love for him to put it together and be a 70+ player, because he'd be entertaining as hell to watch. I just don't think it's going to happen, especially in Buffalo.

I don’t know if I would call Kerfoot and Barrie “a top-4 D and a 3C”.... more like a bottom-pairing PP specialist and a 3C/4C tweener.

Barrie is a top 4 offensive talent and a top 6 defensive talent. Kerfoot has played 3C for the Leafs and occasionally plays on the second line with Tavares and Nylander. Pretty sure he played 3C in Colorado as well.

If you have a guy like Kerfoot as your 4C, you definitely have championship level depth.

Hell no to the last deal. Monahan? Fiala and Dumba are the two best players in that deal and you're adding to them? I get it, Wild needs centers but that doesn't mean you make shitty deals that makes the team worse.
