Speculation: What do you want to see this off-season?

Interested in Blum, he could be worked out for one of our close prospects as well. Don't think the Wings are looking D-man unless it is a big one.

Colorado also should have some interesting right-handed options hitting the market if they do draft Jones.

For the epic trolling on both Blues and Avs fans that hate us so much, it would be great to get Erik Johnson and watch him put it all together in Detroit.

Highly doubt Avs trade EJ. He's the only Dman they have besides Barrie who has played a total of 42 games and maybe few rookie(s).

I'd be interested in Blum too, iirc talked about him at deadline as one target... but really don't see room for him.

Looks like Bickell and Brunner will be this year's LMAO NHL contracts.

Just my opinion but I think what we saw from Brunner this year is it - The stereotypical Soft Euro. He's 27 and not strong, doesn't like contact, and will disappear from the box score for games at a time. That's not going to change.

If it takes 3.5-4 million per to sign him, I say auf wiedersehen Damien. I'd rather pay Flip than do that.

You didn't see anything stereotypical at this season. This was an exceptional season. More games in shorter time and Brunner was a small-rink rookie. He managed pretty darn good, even though he had a minor injury at later part of the season.

Damien also disappeared so bad at the playoffs that was our best goalscorer there...

Too bad many can't see his potential to be a pure sniper that Filppula never has been.

I like him OK but pretty darn good should not = 4 million per year. What I said in my post is true. Not strong, doesn't like contact, and disappears from the box score for games at a time. Like it or not, that was his season. He had a solid playoff but lets be honest, 9 points in 14 games is just that-solid. "Best goal scorer" is dubious praise in this context.

For 2.5 maybe 3 million he's a good signing but more than that is a mistake I'd prefer another organization make.

Lashoff cant be sent to the minors he''s out of waiver options he either plays in Detroit or most likely traded and sorry dont want Dan Ellis i would rather let Gus go and bring up Mrazek. Smith and Nyquist salaries are to low remember they have to get at least a 40% raise Nyquist and Smith will get at least $1,200,000m each Where is Andersson he will be playing next season.

Nothing prevents putting Lashoff on waivers. Organizations will put people in waivers. There's only a risk of losing him, but I don't think nobody would take him.

If Lashoff goes through, he will be caphit free waiving. Every caphit more than 900k, when sent down on waivers and not claimed, will bring a caphit penalty of the 900k exceeding part.

For example, if you put Eaves on waivers, and nobody claims him, Wings will get 300k caphit penalty of his 1.2 million caphit with the new CBA.

That would be pretty dumb on Holland part to just resign Lashoff to a 3 year one way deal and then put him on waivers, Most likely Lashoff is our 7th Dman and Colaiacovo will hit the road.

Why? Colaiacovo is the better player. It's just same thing at defence. They will sign overcrowded roster. Who knows if Quincey blows his knee at training camp. Then both of those guys are needed.

After the Sammy buyout, trading Colaiacovo does not give any advantage with cap space. We have enough space for the current market with Colaiacovo in the team.

this will be the roster all summer and into training camp and the following will occur

a) if helm is not available then emmerton stays on the roster, if helm is available emmerton is put on waivers and claimed with zero compensation and is thus a complete waste of a draft pick and development time(all players you draft and develop and lose for nothing are a mistake and failure by mgmt)

b)if bert cant play due to injury then sammy will stay and play in the top two lines and 100% guarnteed the following will be said "he is a big bodied rt winger who can score and who knows our system). if bert is healthy then due to KH's loyalty towards him, sammy will be traded in mid-sept to a cap floor team for a late rd draft pick(5th or 6th rounder)

c)lashoff will be put on waivers and will be claimed as KH would "prefer cc's experience as our 7th dman incase dekesyer has a rough rookie season and goes through lots of ups and downs"

anyone wish to disagree?

Krug's favorite player growing up was Yzerman/St. Nick.

Another fail by Holland. Like half the Bruins favorite players were Redwings lol.

The guy i keep going back to is Weiss - if he'll be healthy by training camp. Tried and tested by years of being the top center in Florida, would allow us to either play Z&D together, or to use Z, D, and him as our top three centers (especially if Helm is hurt again), and he is capable in any roll - ES, PP, or PK. And if we re-sign Brunner, we could have the wingers to roll three scoring lines like we haven't been able to do for a few years now.

I'd like to see us get him too. Both him and Clarke MacArthur. Would really make our top six stronger then what it is now. Ideally the lines would look like this...

Datsyuk - Zetterberg - Abdelkader(likely) or Brunner
MacArthur - Weiss - Franzen

12.86m for 8 years, though rumour has it he's willing to settle for a little less if he really, really has to.

Where does this come from? :amazed:

Even if that's 12.86 million in Euros (?) ( = 16.8 million in dollars) I would gladly sign him with that price. 2.1 million caphit for 8 years, when he is 27-35 aged, in his prime. :)

 I guess sneaky sarcasm (which I wholeheartedly endorse) doesn't make it across the Finnish border. No wonder your two countries are rivals! :)

I am just hoping Brunner is brought back at $3M or so for a few years. Don't want to have a team that struggled to score goals in the playoffs lose one of their few true scorers.
