Keefe and Shanny must go. And I'd strip JT of the C and I would absolutely liquidate Marner into other pieces. I really think the Leafs roster this playoffs had some strong elements that they can keep, but to run it back with the same core 4 is madness.

I considered fire Shanahan - and maybe they do, but I don't know how much on-ice results are necessarily influenced by his position. 50/50 on this one.

Trade Marner? No. They'd never get a good return

Strip Tavares of C? Again, no. That's always a bad idea. It's one thing if you trade him - but if you don't, you're basically telling him you dont believe in him and it's just shit for the locker room. It's not like captain has such an active role in a game that it's a difference maker anyways. Other leaders can step in without being official captain. ie - it would invite drama for no real positive outcome to strip the C off a player.

Trade Tavares? I mean - maybe. Depends on offers and such, might be tough.

Resign Domi and Bertuzzi? Possibly - I'll let Leaf fans comment on that one more.

Samsonov? No - I really didn't like his game in the playoffs. I'd let him go.

That Matthews scored 1 goal in this series after almost 70 in the regular season cannot be explained by coaching.

When it comes to Tavares and Marner it's one thing to say trade them but all the power in these situations are with the players. If they say I don't want to leave Toronto then that's what it is. This is the most intriguing part of the off season for the Leafs.

Now is the time we see what Tre is all about making changes to this team that fit his vision going forward. He inherited the Dubas team, has seen it all play out with adding guys on one year deals and now it's go time for him.
