We probably see Khaira instead of Haas and Barrie with Russell though.
I really hope we see Haas over Khaira. Not sure why, but Khaira gets far more ice time and opportunities than his uneven play would warrant.

Better not have to kill penalties with that group of DImagine how much better our team would look if it was Larsson who was doubtful to play next season instead of Klef.

Without Larsson and Russell, is Barrie going to PK.We had one of the best PK numbers in the league with this group. Klefbom is a loss but he had a bad year last time around anyways.

What do you mean without Russell and Larsson. We just signed Russell to another extension
I think that he meant that the hypothetical roster that he had quoted had neither Larsson or Russell on it
Oh I missed that. Pretty sure Larsson and Russell will be relied on heavily to start with Klefbom out.

Well considering Bouchard is currently playing LD.

This D group is better in some regards than previous years. Nurse, Larsson and Barrie need to step up big time to lead this group. It would be nice squeeze another solid year out of Russell too.Would love to see something like this if Bouchard is ready. I’d suggest this iteration but either might work well, all depends on chemistry:
Nurse - Bear
Bouchard - Larsson
Jones - Barrie

All we need is for them to look as good as in some past seasons and things will be good. Nobody needs to have a breakout year just solid career average and this group will be fine in the playoffs. The Oilers and Leafs are similar in many ways so I am a little concerned as to why Barrie was so ordinary there but I have faith in Tip that he will get more out of Barrie.

Sure, start Russell or Lagesson instead because that's all we got with Klefbom out.Really don't like the idea of starting a rookoe defenceman on their offside in the top-4.
Yah not so sure mediocre D gets the job done. The fact is we have middle pairing D at best, hoping for a bump in offense from Barrie but not sure he qualifies as a good two way player. But Nurse and Larsson need to be really good this year for us to have any success. Nurse is going to see big minutes this year, I'm hopefull he can carry the load. We do have good young players coming up/back so we will see soon enough. All we need is for them to look as good as in some past seasons and things will be good. Jukon had him as 7th D Hard to kill penalties in pressboxWhat do you mean without Russell and Larsson. We just signed Russell to another extension
Russell's extension was cause of expansion draft. What do you mean without Russell and Larsson. We just signed Russell to another extension
My guess is he will play a bigger role than that. And excellent fodder for Seattle if you can make them bite with a sweetener.Russell's extension was cause of expansion draft.
He'll be a 7th D.
