HFNHL Preds
The Nashville Predators had 9 picks in the 2008 HFNHL Entry draft.

1st Round, 14th overall, defenseman Colten Teubert
NHL: 1st Round, 13th overall, LA Kings +1
Teubert is one of the most physical defensemen in the draft and he comes in an exciting package that also includes smart first passes and great mobility. The future partner for one of the other Predators D-studs, Braydon Coburn or Erik Johnson.

2nd round, 35th overall, goaltender Jacob Markström
NHL: 2nd round, 31st overall, Florida Panthers +4
Markström has the best glove hand in the draft he is a big goalie who plays a quick butterfly.

2nd round, 44th overall, defenseman Cody Goloubef
NHL: 2nd round, 37th overall, Columbus Blue Jackets +7
Goloubef was one of the youngest players in the NCAA last season and held his own for the University of Wisconsin. Working on his defensive game, he only put up 10 points in his freshman season, but scouts are confident, that the offense will come with expierience.

2nd round, 52nd overall, forward Luke Adam
NHL: 2nd round, 44th overall, Buffalo Sabres +8
Adam is a big physical forwards who can score goals in bunches - he has to work on his skating and agility to make it to the NHL.

3rd round, 74th overall, forward Phil McRae
NHL: 2nd round, 33rd overall, St. Louis Blues, +41
All hail Jarmo Kekelainen! McRae is a big skilled forward who does not mind to play physical. He still has to work on his skating, but the talent and the bloodlines are there - as well as the confidence of one of the best scouts in the league.

4th round, 97th overall, forward Louie Caporusso
NHL: 2007 3rd round, 90th overall, Ottawa Senators, +7
A smallish, but highly skilled forward, Caporusso is the type of player that his highly sought after in the new NHL. Caporusso scored 12 goals and 9 assists in his freshman season at the University of Michigan.

6th round, 151st overall, forward Michael Pelech
NHL: undrafted
Size, skills, skating but not enough consistency and determination to make it on NHL teams draft list, Pelech does still have the potential to make it to the pro ranks down the road.

6th round, 169th overall, forward Justin Vaive
NHL: 2007 4th round, 92nd overall, Anaheim Ducks, +77
6'6 forward who likes to play physical - Vaive has to work on his skating like lots of young players of his size. Vaive may never make it to an NHL scoring line, but he may end up a pretty solid shutdown guy.

7th round, 194th overall, goaltender Nick Eno
NHL: 2007 7th round, 187 overall, Buffalo Sabres, +7
Eno is a big goaltender who played for Cornell University and enjoyed great success as a freshman. Eno adds depth to the Preds pool of goalie prospects, but may be a surprise down the road.
