If your going to argue that Cam has "nobody" to play with on offence because the same can be said of Russell Wilson the last 2 years.

I think its comical that a QB should get consideration just solely because of his team's record.

Carolina has the 3rd best rushing offense in the League, with a mediocre at best o-line. I would argue mostly due to Newton, in part because of his ability to zone read and excel at the option to Jonathan Stewart (who is decent right now despite having a career year) and part because he, himself, is such a consistent and dangerous run threat.

Also important to note that Newton doesn't have any garbage time stats against prevent defense designed to eat up clock time this year. Unlike say, Andrew Luck or Aaron Rodgers.
