It’s Week 6, and it’s time for one of college football’s great rivalries: the Red River Shootout/Showdown taking place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Throw the record books out when #3 Texas and #12 Oklahoma come together at noon on ABC. Game Day is on scene for the 119th meeting. OU is looking for revenge after getting waxed 49-0 last year, Texas hasn’t won 2 in a row since 2008-09.

Big Noon is in Columbus, as #4 Ohio State faces a still-unranked, still-undefeated Maryland and Tua’s kid brother at QB.

The second of two ranked matchups also takes place at noon, 2-loss #23 LSU and what looks to be a pretty bad defense goes to Columbia, where #21 Missouri is also off to a 5-0 start. LSU are 5.5-point favorites.

Mid-afternoon has some teams on upset alert. #5 Florida State are not one of those teams, hosting 2-3 Virginia Tech. 5-0 #13 Wazzu is on the road against 4-1 UCLA, but it is on Pac 12 network, so we’ll see the box score later. #11 Alabama is at unranked Texas A&M on CBS, both teams are 4-1. Syracuse tries to put more momentum together going to #14 North Carolina.

Coach Prime is finally past playing some heavyweights, and will get to take a trip to Arizona State - finally in prime time - and also on Pac 12 network, f*** that. Colorado is -4.

The rest of the night slate, a big prime time showdown in Athens sees #1 Georgia host #20 Kentucky, both teams are 5-0, Georgia has looked ripe to be upset since their SEC schedule began, they are favored by 15

#2 Michigan takes a trip west to play Minnesota on NBC’s Big Ten Saturday Night as 19-point favorites.

#11 Notre Dame has another tough ACC road matchup on ABC’s prime time as Louisville enters the rankings at #25.

There’s a big Mountain West matchup on Fox, #24 Fresno State puts an undefeated record on the line as 6-point favorites in Wyoming.

Pac 12 After Dark has 2 games. Once again, Pac 12 network has to steal one, the Beavs are #15 and head to Cal. #9 USC took a hit in the rankings giving up 41 to Colorado, but Caleb Williams remains the Heisman front runner, and they play Arizona in the Coliseum as the same 21.5-point favorites they were last week as the number of NFL scouts continue to swarm.

Two of the best games this week are in the state of Texas.

Also ND has/had a spicy stretch of games. Vs Ohio State, @ Duke, @ Louisville, Vs USC in 4 weeks. 2 top ten teams, a top 20 team and a top 25 team.

Mel Tucker’s lawyer presents hundreds of Brenda Tracy texts as new evidence he was wrongly fired

Looks like Mel Tucker might just have some receipts after all.

Shocker that an activist may actually be part-grifter.
defeding mel...never thought i'd see the day

this was as open and shut case as could possibly be. Mel is a POS. Giving him that contract was a gigantic mistake.

Even if it's unwarranted the W-L record alone should have warranted a sack lol.

if you want a laugher, look at Florida's schedule next year.
They might have a losing record in games within their own state. That was one of the debates years ago when it came to scheduling and how schools like Ohio State would actually schedule good schools and Florida wouldn’t because they ‘didn’t have to’ and ‘made it no sense’ since they play Florida State every year.

Yeah, I'm hoping Texas doesn't go away from scheduling a Marquee OOC game. From what Belmont has said, it seems like they want to play the best and not schedule University of Toronto as a cupcake mid season.

That's gonna be difficult with a full SEC schedule, especially if the conference eventually switches to 9 in-conference games. There are scenarios where those 9 games are against 9 teams that could be ranked on any given week.

A&M had a H&H with Clemson a few years and based on those results, I don't think the program is too keen to ever schedule a high-end OOC game again. Hell, even Miami these past couple years might've been a bit much.

Damn dude why are you bringing U of T up? Lol one of the finest universities in the world! Sure they suck at sports but they win in life lol

Would be actually wild to see what the score would be over 4 quarters of play. 300-0?

How ugly does it get for Brian Kelly if LSU loses to Mizzou? 61-62 years old with 8 years left on his deal, should’ve just thrown a bag at Deion a few years back the way it’s going right now. A few more loses and it starts looking like a Jimbo fisher situation. The buy-out must be massive.
