Week 1 begins tonight, highlighted by the return of the Backyard Brawl and matchup of the unranked Penn State/Purdue that ESPN traded to Fox for Joe Buck.
I don’t recall ever seeing them but I’m sure they showed up at some point like 50 years agoHow often does West Virginia wear these helmets? I like 'em.
I mean that's not much context. Just because he had a job at ESPN doesn't mean it was great or even paid well. He very well could have got a significant raise in his new job, especially if you consider the cost of living in shithole Bristol, CT compared to shithole Ames, IA.I have a nephew who quit ESPN to live in Ames and cover IA ST. I'm not sure that was a good career move. Go Cyclones
To be fair, Central Michigan is and has probably been the best Directional Michigan for quite awhile now. Western Michigan has had some decent runs. Eastern Michigan is just lol. And Northern Michigan is probably still snowed in from winter every year to start a legit program.Oklahoma State has given up 36 to Directional Michigan. Luckily they have 58
They do at least once a season in recent years as a throwback helmet. Kinda wish they had them in my era as well. How often does West Virginia wear these helmets? I like 'em.
Their real conference doesn’t sponsor football.I was about to say who cares, FCS winning over FBS is a regular occurrence now. But I have literally never heard of Bryant. A college in Rhode Island playing in the Big South?
After researching a bit I see that. Still theoretically better fits for them though but then again geography basically means nothing for conferences these days.Their real conference doesn’t sponsor football.
