The Knights are 5-7 in games where they can close out a series in their history. They're 1-3 in games where they can be eliminated.

They were 3-0 in close out games the first season, and are 2-7 since. The Sharks and Canucks series account for 1-5 of that record though.

Is it a legitimate concern or just an interesting statistical wrinkle?

3 terrible starts in 5 games this series. I'd say their need to feed off of Stone & MAF's energy is a bit concerning.

They need to find their 'f*** you' attitude from year 1.

Krebs should be a guy who can lift the team up at times, and Tuch can do it on occasion. As for right now if Tuch & Stone don't get them going, they usually don't get going for the first 20 or so minutes.

They all look like totally different series to me. Although one common them is dropping a game somewhere along the way where the team outshoots and seems to outplay the opposition by a wide margin and still loses. It happened against the Sharks in game 6, against Vancouver and again yesterday. The team should have scored more than 2 goals yesterday.

Hard to say if there's a trend here. Just don't expect any of this to happen IF they play the Avs. Such a different dynamic there, they probably will be the team on the short end of the shot clock, how will the results come out then?
