Vancouver
The game is a blowout if Skinner is mediocre. Make no mistake, he was the sole reason they lost.
its a wash imho - its not like the Canucks had stellar goaltending.

Lets be serious, even if they get by the Demko-less canucks can that oilers team we just saw beat any of the other remaining teams? Defence coughs up pucks at will, goalie looks totally unreliable, look like they pose absolute zero threat when McD or Drai arent on the ice. Those bottom two lines are an absolute black hole.

Oilers got outplayed 5 on 5 by a pretty significant margin. They got 6 shots in 40 minutes with horrible possession and chance numbers. It was only 4-1 because Silovs let in stuff that the average AHL goalie has.

If both teams got league average goaltending the Oilers lose that game. I dont expect them to stay that bad moving forward, but they looked like the team the Canucks faced at the start of the season for the last half of that game.

At the end of the day they got 1 PP, McDavid had his worst game of the playoffs, Draisaitl was in and out with cramping issues, Skinner played poorly and the canucks still had to pull off a miraculous come back to win. It’s probably not going to keep going that way. McDavid will be better.

Oilers Pk is still clipping at 100%. Scored on their only PP. Over 7 games this will swing things big time. I expected a split in van and I expected the oilers to beat themselves once in this series and that happened tonight.

Yeah, neither team really got many good scoring chances but Skinner was scoring on himself and letting guys score from ridiculous angles.

Nearly doubled up Edmonton on both chances and high danger chances. Edmonton finished the game with an expected goals of 1, Vancouver expected goals of 3.

Vancouver also played pretty poorly and can be expected to play better. Skinner and the defence deciding to turn into pumpkins isn’t really a “miraculous comeback”. That’s more on Edmonton playing like a bad team

Oilers hadn’t blown a 3 goal lead in 15 months. It was miraculous make no mistake

Electrifying comeback. When it was 4-1 it felt like one of those games where you come to HF and give some spiel about a moral victory, how badly we outplayed Edmonton and they did not deserve their goals blah blah blah...but instead we took it directly to them and refused to give up. Felt like Oilers had 1 scoring chance the last 40 minutes and it was Nuge boinking the post. Deserved victory tonight

Here come the Edmonton excuses and chest thumping that they’ll still win the series. Play better 5v5 or you’re going to lose. Vancouver proved they can beat this team, again.

They were severely outplayed most of the game, nothing about it was miraculous
100% they stopped skating when it was 4-1. Canucks still had to scrape out a 3 goal 3rd to get the win though. Doesn’t matter how that happened it falls under the category of miraculous.

Nope, just falls under “the score reflected how the game was played”. The team that played better scored more goals, that’s not miraculous

Yea, but Silovs wasn’t any better. Oilers are just a really weak team mentally.
The goalie was the problem, not their defensive play. They only gave up 24 shots and few good chances. The Oilers should not have sat back as much with the lead but they also never gave up much. Probably with average goaltending that's a 2-1 game.

Political prisoner
Houli mouli what a meltdown. Pure evidence of Turtle Stragedy at finest without Läski-Salonen in goal.

First I though Nucks are in the wrong league but what a comeback. I think MacDavid will score a hattie next game

They were bleeding chances most of the game, they gave up a lot. Skinner made the score look closer than it should have been

Edmonton fans on here are wild... go through every GDT from the regular season , you have more "ref" related comments than any other fanbase on here. Always whining about the ref's.
Seriously. Either A) They're delusional or B) there is a league wide conspiracy to make them lose via intentional bad reffing.
hmmmm one of those HAS to be true..which could it be?
