They won the lottery so many times that the NHL changed the rules to prevent teams from being able to get 1st overall every year just because they finished last.
And then the Oilers turned around and benefitted from those new rules when they finished 3rd and had increased odds to win the #1 pick.

It's great, they're in the Oilers head. Drai & McDavid are one of the few who that raise their game when mad, the rest get off beat and wilt.
Boys got the message that spearing in the nuts and all that nonsense won't result in any punishment, so going after McDavid at the end when he did a wicked slash was fair game.

Our team has American players, in a Canadian city which should have Canadian players. But the fact that Vancouver has been a stand out international city for years, them prairie folks have their feathers ruffled.
Also, the Toronto media must be pissed at Vancouver for playing so well when the Leafs can't do jack shit with their core 4.

The Canucks play stupid turtle hockey with the lead and it only works if the other team doesn't tie it cause the momentum shifts to the other team when you sit back. The Canucks play a high octane hockey when they're tied or down.

Pettersson is kind of a Sisyphean character this playoffs being forced to push a rock up the hill all by himself, but our depth and systems have been such a strength that we are making it work without him producing and that is a a *good* thing. If we can get him going we are an insanely tough out.
