McDavid and Drai literally play the entire f***ing powerplay, every time. Their lofty stats really are somewhat of an illusion. If the Canucks trotted out Miller, Petey, and Hughes for the full 2:00 every single powerplay they probably all top 120 points a season.
Its like how a shitty team with no bonafide star will still inevitably have someone score 30 goals and 60+ points simply because they get all the powerplay time. Stick that same player on the 2nd line / 2nd pp unit on a contender and they don't crack 20 goals or 50 points. If McDavid and Drai played more typical powerplay minutes they probably shed 20 points a season each.
