Offensive philosophy in hockey is shifting towards less of an emphasis on shot count. You take 30 mediocre shots and the goalie saves 93% of them, you might get one goal. Average save percentage against high danger is 80.6%. Ten HD shots gets you 2 goals.

I agree about the offensive philosophy nowadays, I just think the Canucks are taking that a little too far if it's an intentional strategy.
