Texas came through the Milwaukee Admirals in a low scoring series which saw only 1 game have more than 3 goals. Both Texas and Milwaukee recorded shut-outs but Texas won through in the end 3-1. The Oklahoma - Charlotte series was completely different. Every game had at least 7 goals and the Checkers might feel aggrieved after dropping a 2-1 lead going into the 4th game. They dropped that and the final game 8-1 and 6-2. Oklahoma won the regular series 6-4.
