Playing Silovs is the right call. In 2011 I wanted to see Schneider get in there for game 7 when Luongo crapped the bed and I still think they'd have won the Cup if he'd been in net. DeSmith might win the game and the series but there's no way he's leading this team to the Cup as a career backup and an average one at that. Silovs probably won't either as the team just isn't good enough but at least he gets some experience for the coming years when he'll be the backup or maybe take the starter's role from Demko eventually.

If anyone would have predicted before this series started that if Demko had gone down in game #1; and Casey DeSmith in game #3; and that the Canucks would be riding Arturs Silovs; they'd still be up 3-2 in the series---they could have picked on some serious change on Sportsbook.

But that's the playoffs for you.....more plot twists than an episode of the Twilight Zone.

In no way would a poor performance tonight impact his career or development path… are you joking? He’s a good young goaltending prospect with limited experience.

I would say the way he’s performed so far is already a good indicator for a long career in this league...

Tolopilo has been more consistent in the AHL this season but their stats are almost identical.

Demko was on the ice and going through a light routine. He isn't coming back for a game 7 and a shouldn't be expected for, at least, the first half of the 2nd round.
