He’s made the saves when it matters. There’s been at least 2 prime scoring chances that he blocked. Don’t see DeSmith making that same save.

I mean yeah...he's been a lot better than DeSmith. But you know that's going to happen. Canucks just haven't capitalized on anything and forced Saros to play real hero ball. He's carrying a shutout just making a few good saves right now...and that's not good enough if this team is going to win at a massive goaltender talent deficit like this.

The Avalanche in Game 1 is an example of a team where you can blame the goaltender.

DeSmith was ,879 after January 1 and this isn't really surprising. We overnight went from having a top 3 goalie in the NHL to the worst starter in the playoffs.

8 shots. It's not all on DeSmith.

This team has had a devil of a time scoring in the back half as well. They lack shooting talent. It's just how the team is built at present.
