Something about the playoffs that bring the just the worst takes.
The Sedins have had so many putrid playoffs since the 2002 Wings series. These boys are not leading our team on any playoff run.

No no no, the league will shut that down just in the moment where it might actually give us an advantage.

Retroactively enforced cap penalty carried over to 2025/26 season.

We could absolutely still beat Nashville with Desmith.

Any of the other teams….i don’t know. Just hope he can come back by then.

You can maybe get a pick and a B level prospect in return which does f*** all for us. We have no legit goaltender in the pipeline nor have a core D that can limit high danger scoring chances.

Trading away players that are your defensive backbone because they get hurt has burned this organization badly a couple of times.

Letting Willie Mitchell go only to see him go on to win multiple cups in LA was a massive mistake. He had a bad run of injuries but went on to put together more healthy seasons.

Same story with Tanev. Always getting hurt and doesn't produce offense. After he left the team was never the same. And he was one of Calgary's healthiest players in his time there.

I think you have to keep rolling the dice that Demko gets over this tough stretch of injuries and continues to be his usual invaluable self. At least until a successor is banging down the door for that starting role.

He's only making 5 mil as well. Samsonov may fetch something like that in UFA.
