Nucks don't have the grit to beat this Nashville team. They're content to play perimeter hockey.
They have the grit, they don’t have the speed to transition and break Nashvilles positioning, it’s the same issue they have against LA

lol a team with 18 shots was dominant

Double the offensive zone possession time and had ~80% of the shots taken. Lots of bounces that just missed going their way. Two missed open nets. I wouldn’t say it was dominant because the execution wasn’t there but they should win that game more often than not.

This shouldn't be a winning strategy for Nashville but it very well could be if DeSmith is below average at all. Though even if they get past Vancouver they're gonna have a lot of bruises from blocking shots in the 2nd round.

God, Kings/Preds would kill hockey.

This is it right here.

No one seems to want to pay a price, which is the only way you’re going to make any sort of playoff run.

That was Canucks vs Hockey Gods. Missed 6-7 open nets. .

Was a sick goal by Forsberg, and they sold out to block a ton of shots in the third, but feel like Canucks win that 9/10 & tonight happened to be the 1.

Can't play DeSmith tho, need a goalie that can control a rebound

That Forsberg goal in tight, was sick. No goalie is stopping that. Canucks D can’t be letting a 49 goal scorer just walk in like that.

They need to attack the middle ice a lot more. They were content trying one-timers on the perimeter all night while Nashville settled into their nice little collapsed box and blocked shots with ease.

Canucks have a hard time against teams that suffocate you like Nashville did tonight. Explains why they struggled against the kings all season.

Some will blame Desmith but you're not going to win many games when you only get 18 shots on net. The shot attempts figure just tells you how well Nashville executed. Good for them and they deserved the W tonight. Canucks need to adjust next game in order to get shots through.

Blocked shots 32-6 for Preds that's playoff hockey 6 blocks is pre-season exhibition play

Funny all the Oiler fans commenting . Sedins really gave these guys PTSD over the years. They are more worried about the Nucks losing than their own series.
Comments like this are so bizarre considering the shit storm from Canuck fans all season long whenever the Oilers played, including last night.
