Berggren is playing with Grand Rapids, so he was not available
I was under the impression that many AHL teams release their players to WC, even when its Calder Cup. But maybe not this time. Would have wanted Edvinsson too.

Marcus Johansson is soon 34 and yet he never played in WC. He declined thousands of time. Now that he is done as a hockeyplayer he wanna come. What a clown.

Has played well with Eriksson Ek and Boldy in Minnesota.

Why are u putting Eriksson Ek as 4C? He is 1C.

Promoting the idea of him and Johansson playing boxplay and Olofsson PP.

Btw, congrats to your new avatar! Hope you're happy with it? :)

All round one matchup should be finished by next Sunday, one week before the tournament starts. Hallam has to get some quick decisions from the eliminated players. We face the US in the first game, so starting with 3 lines and 5 Ds or something is not an option. We must have at least 12F and 6D dressing for the game.

A mix of optimistic and realistic lineup. Adding Hedman, Forsberg, Kempe and Holmberg after round 1

Filip Gustavsson
Samuel Ersson
Jesper Wallstedt

Jonas Brodin - Rasmus Dahlin
Veteran defensive D together with an offensive D starting to enter is prime, sick

Victor Hedman - Erik Karlsson
To elite veteran D who has played together in the national team since junior level

Marcus Pettersson - Patrik Nemeth
Shutdown pairing

Lukas Bengtsson, Tim Heed
Spare parts, filling in case of injury

Marcus Johansson - Joel Eriksson-Ek - Adrian Kempe
Johansson and JEE together because they are team mates. Kempe the elite sniper

Filip Forberg - Pontus Holmberg - Alexander Holtz
Holmberg dishing the puch to either of the snipers on his sides

Victor Olofsson - Isac Lundeström - André Burakovsky
Burra playmayker, Olofsson finisher. Lundeström cleans up their defensive mistakes

Marcus Sörensen - Oscar Lindberg - Fabian Zetterlund
Some speed and skill Sörensen and Zetterlund. All players good in both directions

Max Friberg, Linus Johansson
Popcorn eating contest!
Fribergs motor alone ensures a spot on the 4th line. And hes not without skill. Great hockey sense. Too bad about Melker. We need his skill and skating.

Id take a serious look at Elmer Söderbloom aswell.

I actually think Holmberg could be the best addition after round 1. Our biggest weakness is the center position, we need help there. Zibanejad and W. Karlsson looks like they will advance, so we can scratch them off. Elias Pettersson is not looking like himself, injured? Feels like a decline. That only leaves Holmberg. I guess Järnkrok can play center too, but the Leafs are using him as RW.

I'm assuming he is a decline at this point. He has struggled with injuries so that is probably the reason

He could be playing the waiting game so he doesn’t have to play any meaningless exhibition games before the tournament. Let’s hope so at least.

I’d put Lindholm in Backlunds slot and scratch Backlund for Nyquist

In his locker cleanout interview he talked about finally being home for a bit. Time will tell how long "a bit" is.

Wow, without a contract! Really needed for the team, Raymond has grown a lot during the season. In the beginning, he had to play with Larkin for something to happen, he couldn't carry a line by himself. But when Larkin was injured he really stepped up and became a playdriver.

He is exactly what was missing from this team

Starting to get interesting. The chances of getting good 1st round exit players to join should improve drastically. 'Sup Hedman?
Exactly! But just dont pair Hedman with Ek, it will make Hedman more passive having to clean up after Ek. Let Hedman have his own pairing where he is the offensive one. Anyways welcome back, not seen u for a while here.

Ofcourse no team would say no to Hedman. But he is not the first name that pops into my mind even if he’s the closest to elimination.
