Wayne to the rescue

Previously Wayne Gretzky was reported as saying he will not get involved in the lock out asside from his role as an owner. In todays Edmonton journal there is an article about Edmontons 100th birthday celebration and this is what it says for why Paul Martin and Wayne Gretzky arn't able to attend. "But Prime Minister Paul Martin and former Oilers hockey legend Wayne Gretzky sent their regrets. Martin will be in Russia meeting with President Vladimir Putin and Gretzky says he is busy negotiating a breakthrough in the NHL players' lockout." This article however dosn't specify in what capacity he is negotiating is it only as an owner or more of an arbitrator. I don't know and don't want to start rumors but the way they say it sounds like more than just the role of an owner. Anybody hear anything else about this or what these negotiations are. here is the link to the story if you want to read it http://www.canada.com/edmonton/edmontonjournal/soundoff/story.html?id=91e2eb43- d288-475b-bf68-a594d7a76c41 [picked up thie post from another fourm]
