Mantha with his best shot since we traded for him

I have been begging for Mantha to be used in that spot since we brought him here. Use him in the Kucherov spot and they’re so much more dangerous because they can’t cheat on Ovi. If you watch Tampa’s PP they have a very similar setup with Stammer in the Ovi spot, Hedman at the point, Kucherov where Mantha was, Point in the bumper, and it used to be Palat in the corner (not sure now) and they’re a lot more dynamic.

As an aside, terrific period. They should be up by 4 goals.

MoJo is really filling his role nicely. He’s not as dynamic as he once was but he’s a lot more mature as a player.

Exactly. If you watch Stamkos’ goals on their PP, he has so much open net to hit with his Ovi impersonation, because of Kucherov’s threat (and outstanding passing).

Only took 3 seasons to try that pass on the PP 2nd unit lol
