They have a sweet Jack Nicklaus golf course down in Potomac Shores that I usually play at least a couple times a year. It was supposed to be a hub for a giant housing development but shockingly nobody wants to live in Dumfries so there is tons of land available.

love that course….but yeah…middle of squat…

Bridgewater…./cry….

This one Wentz….

I haven't been around here in a while, so I don't know what the popular opinion here is about the QB situation. So long as we're not in a real position to seriously contend for a championship, I'm fine with Heinecke. I like the whole underdog vibe he's got going on, and I'd certainly rather stick with him than overpay for another lackluster journeyman. No offense to Fitzpatrick, but I never saw that as much of an upgrade.

Draft a real one, even if it takes a while, then bring him along responsibly.

Not a golf person but do recall news of t hat course. From the first video it sounded like that location has the most room to grow and the stadium site would include a marina which is kinda of interesting. Could they great a media and entertainment hub down there that would draw people there Dumfries not an area of means.

I think someone posted some stats/article a few days ago showing this roster is ready to support a legit starter, but no thx to journeyman, agreed.

I’d take Heineke as a backup all day long, and as a guy to ease (hopefully) Pickett into the lineup, but not as the starter for another season.

Well, regardless of all of that, the situation in DC Football Land is becoming more and more untenable.

it’s only going to take another couple of women to step forward and accuse DanMan of direct harassment/assault.

this isn’t going to just “go away”

If there's more out there, I hope they all come forward and make the case against him and the current regime impossible to continue ignoring. It does feel to me like they're closed to being forced to deal with it, so I just hope the media doesn't ease off. Maybe it'll come down to the same thing that happened with the name change, where it just wears on him, the league, and/or other owners until they finally relent.

I actually did look up the stadium design they released a few years back with that kyak moat around it and no roof and was thinking that these days they would need a roof to really have that facility to be used more often.

Nice clip Dave….remember it well. Would have LOVED to see the face of the Marketing Head at that moment.

Also….Gerald Riggs could crush some short yardage TDs.

I looked it up, Riggs had 17 TDs on 89 carries between the regular and post season. 11 in the reg, 6 TDs in 3 playoff games on 11 carries total. Amazing!

That 91 team had All Pro's and Hall of Famer's as specialists and backups. There will never be another Redskins team as great as that one.

So, speaking of quarterbacks, I was reading an article from SI.com about Aaron Rodgers and Washington and that the cost of a contract was going to be in the neighbourhood of $50 million per year. I can't see Ron and his Pejorative Slur minions spending that kind of money, plus the assets and draft capital required to get him. Wilson has said he wants to stay in Seattle and Watson is a skeevy perv who is going to be facing a civil case, a probable criminal case and then disciplinary action from the league.

More and more, it looks like the Commanders either sign one of the free agents (Trubisky could be this year's Tannehill) or they draft or trade for a young guy (Jordan Love is the same age as the guys coming out of school this year and has sat for three years, similar to what Rodgers did). And honestly, this might be the best path going forward. There are still holes on the club that need to be addressed and cap space is still an issue. Washington isn't at the point where they can allocate 25% of their cap for one player.

Yeah, I'd be willing to try a Trubisky on a 1- or 2-year contract.
I've also tried to convince myself that they might even trade out of the 1st round this year to net a second 1st rounder next year and strengthen their hand for a potential trade up in a better QB draft. Maybe an Indy feels like they're a CB or an OL away from being in the AFC fight. But doubt that's a likely scenario.
If they trade this year's first for Garapolo, I'ma smack somebody, though.
