Agreed. He had been rock solid recently. Honestly really worried about him, that was an ugly injury.

Little surprised Carlson isnt going to put on a full cage and play. His face must be all jacked up from the slap shot.

We have no idea what injuries he suffered. It could have been a broken jaw or a ruptured ear drum. He could be dealing with concussion issues. He could have had metal put in his face to stabilize fractures. We should just hope it’s not career threatening and that it won’t have an impact on his actual life.

Haha. Yes I did. Been a long holiday season for me. Not sure I can eat or drink any more, but going to try again tonight anyway.

What’s the status of Backstrom? Is he going to play this season ?

No one knows for sure but he seems to be on a good track. He’s been practicing with the team and taking line rushes in a regular practice jersey. Still wouldn’t expect him back for a while but if he doesn’t have any setbacks it seems likely he’ll be back.

His wife posted on Instagram on Christmas and he doesn’t at all look like someone that took a puck to the face. No obvious injuries at least looking at him im sure he sustained a concussion or something but to look at that pic he you wouldn’t think he is a few days removed from getting caught up high with a shot
