I'm still not sure the purpose of using using the word eh at the end of a sentence nor do I know the meaning.

And the Islanders are starting to play a bit better now. Probably too late for the Islanders to make a run at a playoff spot. Rough year for them.

This. Since his first 3 starts of the season, Vanecek has had 6 very bad games, 6 games where he was a little above or below average (3 of each), and 1 game where he was legitimately good. Hopefully he can turn it around today but he has been consistently bad.
