Two organizations have tried to send him down to the AHL knowing he has to clear waivers. Dallas claimed him from NJ last season and optioned him down to the AHL this season. He also signed a league minimum contract this season. I'd say he's where he should be.

I think Studenic should be in the NHL. He's very much the modern 4th liner. Good speed, great work ethic, and not completely without skill.

With that said, he doesn't have any trade value. The most you'll see him traded for is a 6th or 7th, but more likely he'd just be traded for another AHL player.
