Really? JVR can't even return that according to this site....and i would take JVR always over Kane.

There is hyperbole on both sides. I have seen posts saying anything less than a high end top pairing D for JVR is a rip off. JVR is easily worth a top 4 D, and he is worth a better top 4 D than Kane is. Doesn't mean Kane isn't also worth a top 4 D. He is just worth a lower end one who is probably a #4

I honestly don't think the Sabres have any interest in trading Kane - not for anywhere near what they'll be offered for him anyway. I think Murray likes Kane more than anyone else and unless you are going to give him market value (without the character & legal troubles), he's not going to bother.

I might do otherwise, but I don't think Murray will.

Not at all. Brown is 1000X better the better leader/teammate. He's outplaying Kane currently and his contract isn't an issue with the youth that's coming up.

There's no world where paying a 32 year old, sub 30 point, checking line forward nearly 6 million in cap space for SIX more years is not an issue.

Good luck

So I'll bite. What's the cost for Reinhart?

What is Buffalo's biggest need? Which position, and as futures or roster pieces?
