Tongue in cheek comment mainly about the boat anchor contract and hope AV improves from here, but even forgetting he’s 22 with that potential value being added he’s playing top pairing and justified by analytics by the athletic/evolving wild his market value this past year was 6.5m

The way his contract is structured, if anything, makes it harder to move him. It's the rich teams like CHI that don't mind structuring contracts that are made up of signing bonuses. Now granted, Vlasic's signing bonuses aren't crazy year-over-year but most budget teams prefer to pay their players over the course of the year as they generate more income instead of as lump sums in the summer.
