I already updated my list, I'm very impatient so yeah. Standings are based on the date 11/19/2017. I might update this later in the month.

1. ARZ- Rasmus Dahlin D Frolunda HC (SHL)
Easy choice for any team that ends up with the 1st Overall pick. If Arizona can win that lottery, they are getting a possible franchise defender in Dahlin.

2. BUF- Adam Boqvist D Brynas IF J20 (Super Elit.)
Tough choice between Hughes, Boqvist, and Svechikov, but I think Buffalo takes Boqvist due to their lack of defensive prospects. They have Guhle, and that's about it (To my knowledge).

3. EDM- Andrei Svechikov RW Barrie Colts (OHL)
Another tough decision, but I really believe if your Edmonton and you end up with the 3rd Overall pick, and Svechikov fell to you, you do not pass up on him. Hughes might be the better positional pick, but I don't think Edmonton would pass up on Svechikov if he's available to them.

4. FlA- Quinn Hughes D Univ. of Michigan (NCAA)
Florida's defense is hot garbage. Florida needs a defender really bad, and luckily this draft is loaded with defenders. With Borgstrom, Heponiemi, and Tippett in their system as forwards, Florida should load up on defense, and Hughes would be a very good pick for the Cats.

5. MTL- Filip Zadina RW Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)
Yes, yes I know Montreal needs centers, and who knows if they end up with a top pick they may end up taking Veleno just because he's a center. However, Zadina is my 2nd rated forward on my list, so I have Montreal taking Zadina. DWI!

6. ANA- Brady Tkachuk LW Boston Univ. (NCAA)
7. COL- Ty Smith D Spokane Chiefs (WHL)
8. PHI- Joel Farabee LW U.S National U18 Team (USHL)
9. NYR- Ryan Merkley D Guelph Storm (OHL)
10. BOS- Oliver Wahlstrom RW U.S National U18 Team (USHL)
11. MIN- Bode Wilde D U.S National U18 Team (USHL)
12. CAR- Joe Veleno C Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL)
13. SJ- Jett Woo D Moose Jaw Warriors (WHL)
14. VAN- Akil Thomas C Niagara Icedogs (OHL)
15. DET- Noah Dobson D Acadie-Bathurst (QMJHL)
16. DAL- Mattias Samuelsson D U.S National U18 Team (USHL)
17. CHI- Rasmus Kupari C Karpat (Liiga)
18. (CGY) NYI- Jack McBain C Toronto Jr. Canadians (OJHL)
19. (OTT) COL- Jesper Kotaniemi LW Assat (Liiga)
20. WSH- Jacob Olofsson C Timra IK (Allsvenskan)
21. VGK- Jared McIsaac D Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)
22. NSH- Benoit-Olivier Groulx LW Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)
23. NYI- Serron Noel RW Oshawa Generals (OHL)
24. PIT- Barrett Hayton C Ste. Sault Marie Greyhounds (OHL)
25. CBJ- Ryan McLeod C Mississauga Steelheads (OHL)
26. NJ- Calen Addison D Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL)
27. LAK- K'Andre Miller D U.S National U18 Team (USHL)
28. WPG- Grigori Denisenko LW Loko Yaroslavl (MHL)
29. TOR- Evan Bouchard D London Knights (OHL)
30. STL- Isac Lundstrom C Lulea HC (SHL)
31. TBL- Allan McShane C Oshawa Generals (OHL)

Rangers probably take Wahlstrom if it breaks like that.

I will cry if the Jets don’t somehow find Jett Woo... Although it’s very unlikely.

I don’t think Buffalo would pick Boqvist at #2, Svechnikov is insanely good and is a tier up on any player not named Dahlin and Svechnikov’s skill alone would likely push Buffalo to a playoff spot in the future. Also think about the depth on Offence for they’re future... Eichel, Svechkinov, Reilly, Mittelstadt, Reinhart, Nylander and maybe Kane...

Plus I don’t think any team would EVER want Svechnikov on Edmonton’s team, think Stamkos and Kucherov this year but consistent to it every season...

I just think Boqvist is an exception to take over Svechikov. Especially if your Buffalo who's defensive prospect pool is lacking. With all the Forward prospects they have I think it's time to grab some defenders. Although it'll sting to pass up on Svechikov, I think it's the smarter choice to take Boqvist.

Updated version. Standings are based on the date 12/01

1. Arizona Coyotes- Rasmus Dahlin D Frolunda HC (SHL)
Easy choice for any team that ends up with the 1st Overall pick. If Arizona can win that lottery, they are getting a possible franchise defender in Dahlin.

2. Buffalo Sabres- Adam Boqvist D Brynas IF J20 (Super Elit.)
Tough choice between Hughes, Boqvist, and Svechikov, but I think Buffalo takes Boqvist due to their lack of defensive prospects. They have Guhle, and that's about it (To my knowledge).

3. Edmonton Oilers- Andrei Svechikov RW Barrie Colts (OHL)
Another tough decision, but I really believe if your Edmonton and you end up with the 3rd Overall pick, and Svechikov fell to you, you do not pass up on him. Hughes might be the better positional pick, but I don't think Edmonton would pass up on Svechikov if he's available to them.

5. Ottawa Senators- Filip Zadina RW Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)
Ottawa has some pretty good defensive prospects (Chabot, Harper, and someone else idk) so for me I feel like they should add the best player available, and that for me is Zadina.

Oilers would love to have Andrei Svechikov. They have a more dire need of cheep and good wingers than d-men a couple of years away. They have Caleb Jones and Ethan Bear on their way up and both of them has top-4 potential. Love that pick if we would end with it. Don't think that we will though (thankfully).
