The Philadelphia Flyers were given what they hope is a glimpse of their future after a two-point performance by rookie forward Scott Laughton that included his first NHL goal. The goal was one of a quintet scored by the Flyers in a 5-1 win over the Eastern Conference’s bottom team, the Carolina Hurricanes.
