Four minutes into his first NHL game, Chicago Blackhawks rookie defenseman Adam Clendening scored his first NHL goal on his first shot on goal to get the Blackhawks started towards a 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames.
Clendening, filling in for the injured Trevor van Riemsdyk, was on the Blackhawks’ power play unit early in the first period. Taking a short return pass from Marian Hossa, Clendening then blasted a shot past Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller to give the Blackhawks the 1-0 lead.… read more
