The off-ice officials didn’t initially see give him credit, but Winnipeg Jets defenseman Ben Chiarot netted his first NHL goal in a 5-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. The goal was originally credited to Jets’ forward Andrew Ladd, but the scorers soon realized the error of their ways and credited the goal to Chiarot, who also picked up an assist and was named the game’s second star.… read more
