Looks like he scores 3 kinds of goals. Titled like Friends episodes:
- The Ones Where His Linemates Do All The Work And He Shoots It Into An Empty Net
- The Ones Where He Camps In Front For A Tip-In
- The Ones Where He Blazes Down The Wing And Snipes It
Unfortunately it looks like a ton of them were in that first category, and there’s just no accounting for a weird season where you pick up a dozen wide open gimme goals. Replicating anything close to that on this team feels like a stretch.
The positive side is that he’ll have a TON of chances to score the other 2 ways with the Canes. We don’t have a lot of guys who can just rip it past the goalie in stride, so that’s a big add. And a guy who excels at tip-ins should thrive with Hamilton and Faulk.
Also there were some ENGs in there, which means he was getting defensive ice time in the final minutes. Another good sign.
I’m thinking he’s more of a 15-20 goal scorer here, but a nice stylistic fit who can free us up to move some other guys around the lineup.
