Frankly, I think burrows is toast as a top six player, and this team looks like absolute rubbish. We were a middling team before he new regime took over, and now we look like complete trash. Here's hoping he sedins magically return to elite form!

If they're hoping to get those piss poor season ticket renewal numbers up, they better have a plan outside of UFA's because the crop is terribly thin now.

Vrbata would be nice, but by himself is nowhere near enough to get this city excited for offense and skill.

They have a lot of work to do. Not to mention, this organization can't justify not spending at least very close to the cap, not in this market.

Everyone wanted youth right? Well, Vey, Jensen and Shinkaruk all project to be top 6. Benning believes he can play now and Jensen didn't look too out of place with Sedins. Definitely inexperienced, but Bonino is a much better puck distributor than Kesler.

Concern that may arise is whether Horvat can handle those defensive minutes, but Higgins and Burrows are solid 2 way players, so that should help him out. If Horvat's face-off numbers are solid, I can see him making the team as the 3rd line anchor. If not, sign Grabvoski.

Personally I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Benning swing a deal with Boston for Eriksson and Boychuk, assuming no top prospects/picks are going back to Boston. Something involving Hansen(cheaper replacement for Eriksson) could interest them. Right now Boston has just under $6M in cap space but need to sign Torey Krug, Reilly Smith and Matt Bartkowski, all due for sizeable raises.

Erikson and Boychuk would give the Canucks some much needed depth without the long term commitments.

Not sure what they're going to do with Vey, and I hate the idea of Sbisa ahead of Stanton though. I think Sbisa will end up being our 7th guy.
